Have a Concern? Here’s Where to Start:

AP 408 - Student and Parent Complaints and Grievances

We want to work with you to resolve concerns quickly and fairly. Please follow this pathway to ensure your voice is heard and the issue is addressed at the right level:

 A concern within the school?

1. Start with the Teacher
   • → Most concerns can be resolved by speaking directly with your child’s teacher.
2. Speak with the Principal
   • → If the concern isn’t resolved, contact the school principal.
3. Contact the Division Office (divisionoffice@nesd.ca, 1-306-752-5741)
   • → If the issue remains unresolved or involves the principal directly, reach out to the division office.  A Superintendent will get back to you.
4. Contact the Director  (divisionoffice@nesd.ca - Attention Director of Education, 1-306-752-5741)
   • → If the issue remains unresolved or involves a Superintendent directly, reach out to the division office.  The Director will get back to you.
5. Submit a Written Complaint to the Board of Education  (divisionoffice@nesd.ca attention Board of Education)

• • → If resolution is still not reached or the concern involves the Director, a written complaint can be submitted to the Board.

 A concern with Transportation? 

1. Start with the department (transportation@nesd.ca; 1-306-873-4555)
   • → Some concerns can be resolved by speaking directly with the transportation department staff.

2. Speak with the Transportation Manager (transportation@nesd.ca; Attention Transportation Manager, 1-306-873-4555)
   • → If the concern isn’t resolved, contact transportation, and request the Manager.
3. Contact the Division Office (divisionoffice@nesd.ca, 1-306-772-5741)
   • → If the issue remains unresolved or involves the Manager, reach out to the division office.  A Superintendent will get back to you.
4. Contact the Director (divisionoffice@nesd.ca attention Director of Education, 1-306-772-5741)
   • → If the issue remains unresolved or involves a Superintendent directly, reach out to the division office.  The Director will get back to you.

5. Submit a Written Complaint to the Board of Education (divisionoffice@nesd.ca attention Board of Education)
   • → If resolution is still not reached or the concern involves the Director, a written complaint can be submitted to the Board.
