The North East School Division encompasses an area of 28,500 Sq. km from West of Beatty to the Manitoba border and North of Choiceland to South of Spalding. Transportation Services provides bussing for eligible students between home and school. Utilizing 70 routes, our buses travel approximately 2.5 million km per year taking 2,800 students to and from school.
BUS Expectations:
The following procedures for busing remain in place:
- All riders must be registered for that specific bus.
- Additional riders are not permitted.
- Seating will be assigned.

Out of Attendance Area Requests - link
To request your student to attend a school that is not their current school or catchment area, please fill out ONE of the following NESD OOA forms:
Types of Out of Area Requests:
- OOA-internal - If your family lives within the North East School Division (NESD) and you wish to apply for your child to attend a different NESD school, please note that transportation may be considered in very rare cases. You can find more information about transportation in NESD administrative procedure 403 – Admissions of Students.
- OOD - NE_Release - If your family lives within the North East School Division (NESD) and you want to apply for your child to attend a school in a different school division, please be aware that NESD will not be responsible for transportation in this case. Once you have completed this form, NESD will provide you with a release letter.
- OOD - NE_Acceptance - If your family does not reside within the NESD boundaries but wishes to apply for your child to attend an NESD school, please note that transportation is not available for this type of request. For this type of request you will need to provide:
