Driver Education

All families and students are required to read the NESD Driver Education Handbook for important information such as:

  1. Getting proper personal identification and documents ready for SGI
  2. Getting Customer Number from SGI
  3. Student and Parent Responsibilities

Students taking driver education in the NESD must use an NESD email:

NESD students - use your NESD email.  Check with your school how to sign up.

NESD Homeschooler students - contact Homeschool@nesd.ca for email information and sign up information.

SaskDLC students living within the NESD boundaries - contact NESDSchoolServices@nesd.ca for email information and sign up information.  Please provide student name and birthdate.

Driver Education Consideration

To be eligible for the NESD Driver Education program, students must be age appropriate NESD Students or NESD Secondary Students (SaskDLC students living within the NESD boundaries).

Students are ineligible for the NESD Driver Education program when:

  1. NESD Student or NESD Secondary Student is withdrawn from their school.  (Students transferring to a school outside of NESD may request that the driving instructor transfer their progress.)
  2. Secondary NESD student has an address change that is outside of the NESD boundaries.
  3. Graduating.  Eligibility ends on July 31 of graduating year.
  4. Secondary NESD enrolments are interrupted.  NESD Secondary enrolment will end July 31 each year and NESD Secondary enrolment may not be assigned or reassigned until September 30 each school year.
