Registration Pre-K

NESD Pre-Kindergarten APPLICATION Process:

The Pre-Kindergarten Program is for 3 & 4 year olds. There may be limited seats available in the class(s) each year.  Parents are asked to fill out the Pre-Kindergarten APPLICATION FORM to apply for the Pre-K Program at their school. Once application forms have been received and assessed, families will be contacted by the school division if their child qualifies. 

Saskatchewan’s Prekindergarten programs admit children based on eligibility criteria. It is important to share as much information about your child’s growth and development as possible. Submitting this screening tool does not guarantee your child’s enrollment in the program. You will be contacted by the school division if your child qualifies.

Step 1:

Immigration or international student?  Follow these NESD Immigration or International Student Instructions for permission to attend any school in the NESD.  Do not complete the Pre-Kindergarten Application Form until you have received the approval letter.

Step 2:

If you are unsure which NESD school your child is designated to attend, please contact the NESD Transportation Office at 306-873-4555 or the Division Office at 306-752-5741 (ext. 1) before completing registration.

Students are expected to register at the school in their designated attendance area. This helps us keep school enrollment and class sizes balanced, organize transportation efficiently, and ensure students can access the supports and opportunities available within their local school community.

In very limited circumstances, requests to attend a school outside your attendance area may be considered. This includes families living outside NESD boundaries or their designated catchment. Information regarding this request can be found at (Out of Area Attendance Form).

Step 3:

NESD requests that students new to the Saskatchewan education system present a student identification to confirm name, birthdate, birth country to the school office.  For students who were required to complete Step 1, validation will not be required.
